Since Will will occasionally use a spacesuit for spacewalks, Penny needed one too. Penny's is a modified futuristic-looking cat carrier which had a domed window for cats to look out. I added real air force equipment and labels to it to make it look more realistic. I was inspired by the space pod in the movie 2001- A Space Odyssey so mine also has arms that lower and can grab things. Penny's pod also has thrusters so she can maneuver it in space.
